It's finally happened! A post! In the stories section!
I had meant to post this a couple of weeks ago, but life happened etc etc. Anyway, there's an update to Stone Circles in the Stories section. I think I patched the missing section, but am still checking what happened. Made a few backups and did some drive checks just in case, but nothing seems too suspect. PEBKAC seems a more likely culprit.
I didn't have time to muck around with an EPUB version, so there's only a pdf version. And my Adobe (EvilEmpire™) access is playing up, so I'll have to sort that. Le sigh. Not enough hours in the minute these days.
Finished reading the update! Very interesting conversation between Mikah and Shyia. It's fascinating to see how Shyia walks the line between being an ally to Mikah and being loyal to the guild. So many in this world are master manipulators or operate in the shadows; you really do capture that feeling of being a stranger there forced to trust but at the same time not able to trust anyone.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see more of the story and look forward to more. I am privately hoping that Lady H'risnth will make an appearance once more, and that Mai is able to help Mikah when it counts.
Haven't read the update yet, since I'm patiently waiting for the final release. However, I'm very happy to see that you're making quite a progress with this story. Even more am I glad to see that you're making more posts and are keeping in touch with your readers. I hope that everything is going to go very smoothly for you in the future!

DeleteHello! It seems I'm a little late to the party, but I've finally caught up and read everything that's been posted so far! I've honestly never read anything quite like this before, and I've really been enjoying it. Wishing you all the best—I have a feeling I'll be checking this site every day now!
Jenes'ahn is probably my favorite character. I even went back and reread everything just to pay closer attention to how she interacts with Michael, from the first moment she laid eyes on him all the way through the end of Bound by Stone.
(I also asked ChatGPT a few questions about the story, and it gave me some completely off-the-wall plot backstory that threw me for a loop before I went back and reread everything. That's how I learned AI hallucinations are a thing—it even apologized when I pointed it out!)
Anyway, I've reread pages 93–95 of Bound by Stone... several times, and I'm really excited to see where that leads.
